1. Patch ceiling cracks or holes so that the surface of the repaired area
is flush with the ceiling.
2. Cover and mask carpet, furniture, etc., to protect from overspray. Wear
safety glasses to protect your eyes from overspray and always keep nozzle
pointed away from your face.
3. Can is best used at room temperature. SHAKE CAN VIGOROUSLY for 1 minute.
Point nozzle towards patch, extending arm up at approximately a 40-degree
angle toward area you are going to spray so that you are not spraying directly
over your head. Hold can 2-3 feet from patch.
4. The Acoustic + with Particles nozzle is specially designed to propel Spraytex
upward while the can is kept in an upright position. Position your forefinger
and middle finger to press down on nozzle.
5. While moving can in a circular motion, spray short bursts of texture on
patch. You may also hold down and continuously spray while keeping the can
moving as you spray. Short bursts may make it easier to cover the area you
are patching.
6. If you have some overspray, clean it up before it dries. Binders make it
harder to clean after drying. Acoustic + with Particles cleans with water.
7. SPRAYTEX acoustic patch may be painted in 5 to 12 hours, depending on humidity,
surface, and temperature.
8. It’s best to paint acoustic ceilings with a spray applicator rather
than a roller, which can actually pull the popcorn texture off as you paint.
9. Clean nozzle with water. Do not turn can upside down and spray to clean.
Covers up to 6 square feet (depending on texture and surface area).
